Hello! My name is Angelica Leigh and I am a newly minted PhD! I just graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School with a PhD in Organizational Behavior in May 2020. I will be starting a tenure track faculty position in the Management and Organizations department within Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in Fall 2020.
My research program sits at the intersection of diversity and emotions. My major research stream takes a dynamic approach to studying diversity by examining how events can alter these experiences; in doing so, I explore the often overlooked experiences and identities that may alter the effects of diversity in organizations. My second stream of research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to examine the influence of events and emotions on work outcomes.
I am also the former president of the Management Doctoral Student Association of the KPMG PhD Project. An organization dedicated to increasing diversity in organizations by increasing the representation of underrepresented minorities in business school faculty/leadership positions.
